Custom barns require a level pad — gravel or concrete depending on size. We provide excavation and pad-prep services and can walk you through what's needed for your site. For any building over 10 feet wide, a prepared pad is required.

Yes — every barn is custom-built. Siding choices include board & batten, T1-11 Smartboard, or vinyl. Roof options include architectural shingles and metal. Doors can include sliding barn doors, carriage doors, walk-through doors, and dutch doors.
Do I need a permit?
Permit requirements vary by Virginia county. Most counties have setback, foundation, and zoning rules that apply to outbuildings — we recommend checking with your local zoning office in Clarke County before ordering. We're happy to provide any documentation you need.
